Total House + Flooring
Francy Thompson, the owner of Total House + Flooring, has a background in design and accounting, which she put in action when she started her business in 2005. Her business began as Total Design Solutions, an interior design firm, but it quickly expanded to floors, kitchen and bathrooms, remodels, and outdoor living areas.
“Although we started as an interior design firm, we eventually expanded to offer floors, tile, kitchen and bath cabinetry, window and wall coverings, and more,” Thompson explains.
However, Total House + Flooring offers way more than just high-quality flooring. They offer a variety of interior projects such as window treatments, kitchen and bath designs, interior designs, furniture and home accents, as well as outdoor living projects such as outdoor kitchens, arbors, retaining walls, and custom porch furniture.
One of their latest projects was partnered with McCrimmon Landscaping and Grading for the physical work done, which features a trellis leading into an outdoor patio complete with an outdoor kitchen, a bar and a grill. A custom-made table and chairs sit on the patio, ready for entertaining. A retaining wall surrounds the backyard pool, adding more fun and entertainment to the outdoor living space.
Total House + Flooring serves residential and commercial areas. “Around seventy-five percent of our projects are for residential areas, and twenty-five percent are commercial,” says Thompson. “Our intention has always been to fill the gap between design concept and product choice, for both homeowners and builders.”
When thinking of your ideas for your outdoor living space, “one of the very best ways to communicate your specific vision is with lots of photos. First, take pictures of your existing space, for a reference point. Then collect lots and lots of pictures about things that stand out to you. This gives your designer a point from which to start and an idea of the direction you’d like to take with your own space,” Thompson explains.
Total House + Flooring is fully committed to providing their clients with professionalism and care. Their goal is to create warm and inviting interiors and exteriors that are tailored to meet the needs of their clients. “By combining classic, contemporary and traditional details, we create comfortable, refined spaces that reflect and define your personal style. We make great design happen within your budget, utilizing your style.”
Experts will work with you to plan your project, create your project, and then build your project. 910-246-8046, totalhouseandflooring.com
In January of this year, Sam Glick, along with his wife Betty, moved from Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Southern Pines, NC to open GreyFox Outdoor. Greyfox is located off Morganton Road in Southern Pines, customizes anything you can think of for your outdoor living space— custom pergolas, pavilions, gazebos, playsets, patio furniture and even smoke-less fire pits.
“We've been helping customers design custom playsets and pergolas for their backyards, as well as helping them fill their patio space with custom poly outdoor chairs, patio lounge sets, fire pits and dining sets,” Glick says.
Every product from GreyFox is custom made. They offer over 24 color options for their outdoor furniture and over 60 Sunbrella fabric choices for cushions, pillows and umbrellas. So, there are plenty of options for you to choose.
In addition, GreyFox offers a large variety of colorful folding Adirondack chairs that make a great addition to your front porch or backyard.
And then there are the playsets for the children...
“When choosing a playset, we can design a set for any style, color and budget. From a small 2x2 tower to a ninja warrior themed set! It all comes with a warranty, as much as 20 years on the playsets, 15 years on the furniture and 3 years on the fire pits,” says Glick.
Professional installation and delivery are available for all of GreyFox’s products. They mainly service the Carolinas but can provide services nationwide.
“All of our furniture and the majority of our other products are made out of recycled HDPE. Purchasing products made from recycled HDPE not only helps save millions of pounds of plastic from landfills each year, but provides a product that is durable, will not rot or rust and gives the customer peace of mind knowing they have a product that will last many years and will look good,” says Glick.
The opportunities are limitless when it comes to transforming your outdoor space into a magical retreat with the help of GreyFox. Host your summer parties in style this year with one of their beautiful pavilions, create a custom playset for your children, or create unique and colorful furniture for your outdoor patio.
Sam and Betty Glick have over 16 years of experience working with outdoor products using recycled HDPE, specifically in the playground industry. 910-725-0394, greyfox-outdoor.com
