September 28
Construction is underway for a tasting room and new production facility at James Creek Cider House in Cameron. Owners Ann Marie and David Thornton are planning for a September 28th grand opening of the tasting room which will feature outdoor seating areas with views of the orchards.
“My favorite part of the week is being at the farmers’ market, pouring samples of cider for people and talking to them about cider and the old Southern heirloom apple varieties that we grow. The tasting room will give us more opportunities to engage with our customers and show them how we grow our apples and produce these ciders that reflect our region and our fruit. This ‘sense of place’ is so important to us,” says David. 172 US Highway 1, North, Business, Cameron. www. facebook.com/jamescreekciderhouse
